Her transition into presenting began with Channel 4’s Bombay Chat, which led to her own prime- time talk show on Star TV, Nikki Tonight. Nikki was also the first panelist on QI to speak in Hindi. In her spare time, she enjoys watching inordinate amounts of television and film.

About Nikki Bedi
Nikki Bedi is an international television and radio presenter who currently curates, writes, and hosts The Arts Hour on the BBC World Service, as well as The Arts Hour on Tour, a programme that travels to cities around the world for spirited debates before live audiences.
Her current television work includes the BBC World News series Encounter Culture, Ultimate, and Discovering the World’s Culture.

Nikki is also an in-demand moderator and awards host, recognised for her high-calibre one-on-one interviews. She describes herself as “glocal,” reflecting a career that is both global and local, and as “Indo-Anglian.” Born to an Indian father and an English mother, she began her career in Mumbai as both a stage and film actress, working with some of India’s finest art-film directors.
