SWINGS / UNDERSTUDIES for Grammy-nominated INALA
South African / African Performers – London Based
We are seeking culturally authentic, technically accomplished South African and African performers capable of sustaining the vocal and physical demands of this production at West End level.

Venue: House of Sisters Grimm, INALA Stage, 23-25 Eastcastle Street, London W1W 8DF
Audition Format: Pre-booked timed slots (20 performers only per session)
Session Times:
- 10.00 am – 12.00 noon
- 12.30 pm – 2.30 pm
- 3.00 pm – 5.00 pm

About the Production:
INALA is a one-hour, high-intensity Zulu musical performed without interval. The work requires continuous singing and choreography at full physical output and runs a minimum of seven performances per week. Swings must be capable of covering multiple ensemble roles within their vocal range.

Current Casting Focus:
While we continue to welcome submissions from all genders, we are particularly keen to hear from MALE performers with strong singing voices, especially TENORS and BASSES, who can meet the vocal, physical, and ensemble demands of the production.

Essential Criteria:
- African heritage
- London-based
- Fully eligible to work in the UK
- Strong aptitude for learning and accurately performing isiZulu
- (Prior experience with Zulu or other African languages, you can easily learn to sing songs)
- Strong professional dance training
- Exceptional stamina and breath control
- Ability to learn quickly and work reliably at West End level
- (Prior swing/understudy or high‑intensity ensemble experience welcomed)
These are Swing / Understudy roles in a high‑intensity ensemble production. Performers must be comfortable covering multiple ensemble tracks, maintaining consistency across a demanding performance schedule, and learning material quickly and accurately.

Contract & Fees:
- Paid rehearsal period (weekly rehearsal salary)
